How this list is produced

This page is generated, not written: a script reads the declared dependencies of the site and of both apps, and refuses to produce the list if any of them has no known licence. It therefore cannot drift out of sync with the code without the build saying so.

The full licence texts are published by each project, at the address shown. A version displayed as a dash is aligned by a version catalogue shared across several libraries.

Both families used on the site are hosted on our own servers, which avoids sending every visitor's IP address to a third-party service.

Components that are not open source

A few essential components are not open source: the Google libraries published under the Android Software Development Kit License — Google sign-in, Play services and Google Play billing — and those covered by the ML Kit Terms of Service, which read receipts on the device. They are flagged in the tables above rather than quietly filed among the others.
